Grassroots (n) is defined as "the basic level of an activity or organization", or better yet where things begin and shoot out from. Basic. Fundamental. We believe that the groundwork being solid leads to more profitable business, and we work hard to build a rock-solid foundation for cannabis businesses of every vertical, built from timely, accurate, and reliable financials.
Grassroots (adj.) has another meaning - the common/ordinary people coming together to create change at the higher levels of society. In cannabis, we all are the ordinaries, fighting daily for acceptance, legalization at the federal level, and righting the wrongs of the past drug laws.
Grassroots Bookkeeping was founded on the premise that we want to ensure our legal cannabis businesses pass the scrutiny from federal, state, and local officials by helping build rock-solid financials with all source documentation readily available, making sure filings for taxes and business maintenance are done timely and accurately, and being partners in navigating the ever-changing laws and regulations in the world of cannabis.
Founded by a cancer survivor, we are cannabis advocates
Our founder survived breast and thyroid cancer in a legal recreational state and used cannabis to deal with the side effects of chemotherapy, with NO FEAR of arrest or persecution and without having to meet a guy in a dark parking lot. We believe ALL humans should have the right to access nature's medicine, so we went to work doing what we have always been good at - creating solid financials for businesses.
Grassroots Bookkeeping is committed to donating 10% of profits to a cannabis social justice organization annually. It's the right thing to do.
